Working at the Bijenkorf

So I have been working at the Bijenkorf for quite some months now, and it has been an amazing experience. Sales might not have been my passion originally, but it turned out the be a very dynamic and interesting job.

Since Amsterdam is a very international city, I come across all kinds of different cultures and people that all like to be treated differently and have different whishes. It really is a challenge to find out what they are looking for and turn their whishes into profit for The Swatchgroup.

But sales has more to it than just selling things. As a salesperson I also need to deal with complaints, manage repairs and incoming orders. Then ofcourse the shop also needs to look good, so I spend quite some times cleaning counters, and merchandising the products. Without a doubt working at the Bijenkorf has been the most dynamic job I ever had, and that is also what makes me like this job the most!
