BRASSERIE 'T KIKKERFORT 

 

 

't Kikkerfort is an indoor award winning swimmingpool in Breukelen,

The Netherlands. 't Kikkefort also facilitates a gymnasium and a mulit

functional area for meetings, yoga, etc. I am employed at the canteen of

the swimmingpool, called "Brasserie 't Kikkerfort" owned by my father,

Ron Letter. 

From 2009 till now I have worked at the canteen of 't Kikkerfort. I enjoy taking responisibly over several tasks, such as serving customers and taking orders, but preparing food, cleaning and restocking as well. Working at 't Kikkerfort I have learned to use a cash registar, being customer representative and managing different tasks.

One of the most important things I have learned at 't Kikkerfort is setting priorities and accepting that not every customer can be a happy customer. If the restaurant would be very crowded for example, there would be no time to cleary explain why one will get their wine served in a plastic cup or manage endless battles about "who was first". Instead it is better to simply apologize and provide a single line explanation without starting a discussion, after which you continue with other priorities. 

During this period I have mainly worked part time and half a year full time. Generally I would work from 10 to 5 on saturdays, and during school holidays.
